ACTIVISM: People and Panet First!
Ft. Jeremy Hempy
Did you know that balloon releases lead to environmental damage by releasing non-biodegradable materials into the atmosphere and causing harm to wildlife?
Jeremy and I have been huge activists against balloon releases in the city of Cleveland since we know these materials can cause suffocation, entanglement, and digestive tract blockage that can result in the death of animals. Furthermore, the release of balloons can also create litter and pose a risk to human health by becoming entangled in power lines, causing power outages or falling to the ground, and becoming a choking hazard for small children and pets.
We also try to educate and share that it is important to reduce the practice of balloon releases and find alternative ways to celebrate events and occasions that do not harm the environment.
Jeremy Koosed known as Jeremy Hempy is a Cleveland human rights activist and environmental activist, Jeremy's deep commitment to our planet and the promotion of environmental justice has inspired him to pursue his passion for creating laws at the local city level to help establish a more environmentally friendly community. Jeremy is also a vegan activist and a blogger.
